Uplift (“Uplift,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) values your privacy and is committed to being transparent about how we collect, use, disclose, and retain information.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we may share it, and the choices available to you when using Uplift, including Experiments, analytics, AI assistant, and related services.
By using Uplift, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create or use an account, we may collect information such as:
- Email address
- Account name or organization information
- Login, authentication, and session information
- Account settings and preferences
- Subscription, plan, and billing status
- Communications you send to us
Experiment Data
Uplift is designed to help users store, organize, and analyze A/B testing results and experimentation history. Information you provide to the platform may include:
- Experiment names and descriptions
- Hypotheses, learnings, notes, and summaries
- Aggregate experiment metrics and results
- Conversion, revenue, confidence, and performance data
- Experiment classifications, tags, metadata, and status information
- Start dates, end dates, page types, device types, and other experiment details
- Uploaded screenshots, files, or other experiment-related materials
- Freeform text entered into the platform
You are responsible for the information you submit to Uplift and for ensuring that you have the necessary rights and permissions to submit it.
AI Assistant Inputs and Outputs
Uplift includes an AI assistant that can help users ask questions about experiment history, identify patterns, summarize past test results, suggest what to prioritize next, draft or refine hypotheses, generate analysis, and provide other experimentation-related recommendations.
When you use the AI assistant, we may collect and store:
- Prompts, questions, and instructions you submit
- AI-generated responses and outputs
- Feedback you provide on AI outputs
- Related account, experiment, usage, and interaction context
- Logs and diagnostic information related to AI assistant usage
The AI assistant may process information from your Uplift account, including experiment data, uploaded content, notes, metrics, results, metadata, screenshots, files, account information, subscription information, billing status, and other information available within the platform. Although we may try to limit what information is provided to the AI assistant where appropriate, you should assume that information in your Uplift account may be visible to or processed by the AI assistant.
AI assistant prompts, outputs, and related logs are tied to your account and may be retained indefinitely unless we decide to delete them or are required to delete them.
Uploaded Content
Users may upload screenshots, files, or other experiment-related content to Uplift. Uploaded content may be stored, analyzed, displayed back to you, included in your experiment history, used to generate insights, or processed by AI-powered features.
Please do not upload or submit sensitive information unless necessary and appropriately authorized. This includes:
- Sensitive personal information
- Financial information
- Health information
- Government identification numbers
- Confidential customer data
- Regulated data
- Trade secrets or highly confidential business information that should not be processed by third-party systems
If you choose to submit sensitive or confidential information, you are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to do so and that your use of Uplift complies with applicable laws, agreements, and internal policies.
Billing Information
Payments and subscription processing are handled by third-party payment providers such as Stripe. We do not directly store full payment card information on our servers.
Stripe may collect and process billing information, payment details, and related transaction data in accordance with its own privacy policy and terms.
Usage, Analytics, and Technical Information
We may automatically collect limited technical and usage information related to your use of the platform, such as:
- Browser and device information
- IP address
- Pages visited
- Referring URLs
- Session activity
- Authentication and session information
- Feature usage and interaction data
- Diagnostic, performance, and error information
- Storage, security, and operational data necessary to operate the product
We may use analytics and tracking technologies, including Google Analytics, to better understand how users interact with the platform, improve functionality, measure product usage, and evaluate performance.
We may also use cookies, local storage, pixels, SDKs, or similar technologies to support platform functionality, analytics, security, and future product improvements.
How We Use Information
We may use information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve Uplift
- Authenticate users and secure accounts
- Store, organize, and display experiment history
- Generate dashboards, summaries, insights, recommendations, and experimentation analysis
- Power and improve the AI assistant and other AI-enabled features
- Respond to user prompts, questions, and requests
- Analyze experiment patterns, outcomes, and historical results
- Suggest future tests, priorities, hypotheses, and areas for exploration
- Process billing and subscriptions
- Provide customer support and respond to inquiries
- Debug issues, monitor performance, and improve reliability
- Detect abuse, fraud, security incidents, or misuse of the platform
- Develop new features, products, models, tools, and services
- Train, evaluate, test, or improve internal systems, algorithms, machine learning models, and AI-powered features
- Generate aggregated, de-identified, or anonymized analytics and benchmarks
- Communicate important product, legal, security, or account-related updates
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
AI and Product Improvement
Uplift may use AI-powered features, including an AI assistant, to help provide insights, summaries, recommendations, and experimentation analysis.
To provide these features, we may process your account data, experiment data, uploaded content, usage data, prompts, AI outputs, and related metadata through internal systems and third-party AI service providers, including OpenAI.
We may use information submitted to or generated by the AI assistant to improve Uplift, including by:
- Improving AI responses, recommendations, and insights
- Evaluating AI output quality
- Debugging and monitoring AI assistant behavior
- Developing new AI-powered features
- Training, testing, fine-tuning, or improving internal models, prompts, workflows, ranking systems, or analysis tools
- Creating aggregated or de-identified learnings about experimentation patterns
The AI assistant is part of the Uplift product. We do not currently offer an opt-out from AI processing or AI-related product improvement uses where those uses are part of providing, operating, securing, or improving the platform.
We may also use aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified information to improve Uplift, develop benchmarks, identify trends, or create insights that may be shared with other users or customers. We do not intend to identify you or your organization in such aggregated or de-identified outputs unless you authorize us to do so.
AI-generated outputs are provided for informational and experimentation-support purposes only. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your specific situation. You are responsible for reviewing and validating AI-generated outputs before relying on them.
Third-Party AI Providers
Uplift uses third-party AI service providers, including OpenAI, to help power AI features.
Information sent to third-party AI providers may include prompts, experiment data, uploaded content, screenshots, files, notes, metrics, account context, usage information, metadata, and AI-generated outputs.
Third-party AI providers may process this information according to their own terms, privacy policies, data processing terms, and technical settings. Depending on the provider and configuration, they may retain inputs and outputs for a period of time, review them for abuse, security, or quality purposes, or use them as otherwise permitted by their terms and our agreement with them.
We may change, add, or remove AI providers over time.
Human Review and Internal Access
Authorized Uplift personnel may access account information, experiment data, uploaded content, AI assistant prompts, AI outputs, logs, and related information when necessary or useful to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the platform
- Provide support
- Debug errors or investigate issues
- Monitor AI assistant performance
- Improve product quality
- Detect abuse, fraud, or security issues
- Enforce our terms
- Comply with legal obligations
For example, Uplift personnel may review AI assistant conversations and logs to understand how the assistant is performing, troubleshoot issues, or improve the product.
Sharing of Information
We do not sell personal information.
We may share information with trusted service providers that help us operate, secure, analyze, improve, and support the platform, including:
- Hosting providers
- Database and infrastructure providers
- Authentication providers
- Payment processors
- Email delivery providers
- Analytics providers
- AI service providers
- Logging, monitoring, and error-tracking providers
- Storage providers
- Customer support and operational tools
These providers may process information on our behalf to provide services to us, subject to their terms and our agreements with them.
We may also disclose information:
- To comply with legal obligations, subpoenas, court orders, or government requests
- To protect the rights, safety, security, or property of Uplift, our users, or others
- To investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or violations of our terms
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar business transaction
- With your consent or at your direction
Data Retention
We retain information for as long as necessary or useful to provide, operate, improve, secure, and develop Uplift, unless a different retention period is required by law or agreed in writing.
Currently:
- Experiment data and uploads may be retained indefinitely unless deleted or deletion is requested
- AI assistant prompts, outputs, feedback, and related logs may be retained indefinitely
- Account data may be retained for as long as the account exists and for a reasonable period afterward
- Billing-related information may be retained as required for accounting, tax, legal, or compliance purposes
- Usage, analytics, diagnostic, and security logs may be retained for operational, security, legal, and product improvement purposes
- Users may delete individual experiments directly within the platform where that functionality is available
- Users may contact us to request deletion of additional account data
Deletion requests may not result in immediate or complete deletion from backups, logs, analytics records, de-identified datasets, aggregated data, legal records, billing records, or information we are required or permitted to retain.
Retention practices may evolve as the platform develops.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to help protect information stored within Uplift. However, no system can guarantee absolute security.
Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their devices, accounts, login methods, and access credentials.
International Users
Uplift is operated from the United States. If you access Uplift from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where we or our service providers operate.
These jurisdictions may have data protection laws that differ from those in your location.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights related to your personal information, including the right to:
- Access your information
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of certain information
- Object to or restrict certain processing activities
- Request a copy of certain information
- Request data portability
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. Some requests may be limited by legal, security, technical, billing, fraud-prevention, backup, or operational requirements.

Cookies and Analytics
Uplift uses cookies, local storage, analytics tools, and similar technologies to:
- Operate the platform
- Authenticate users
- Remember preferences
- Understand product usage
- Improve platform functionality
- Measure performance and engagement

- Support security and fraud prevention
We currently use Google Analytics to help analyze how users interact with the platform.
Third-party analytics providers may collect information such as:

- Browser type

- Interaction events
- Session information
As the platform evolves, we may introduce additional analytics, advertising, retargeting, or measurement technologies. This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect those changes.
Sensitive Information
Uplift is not designed to store or process sensitive personal information, regulated personal data, protected health information, payment card numbers, government identification numbers, or confidential customer-level data.
Because Uplift includes freeform notes, uploads, screenshots, and AI assistant prompts, users may technically be able to submit sensitive or confidential information. Please do not submit sensitive information unless necessary and appropriately authorized.
You are responsible for reviewing the content you submit to Uplift and ensuring that it is appropriate for processing by Uplift and its service providers, including AI providers.
Children's Privacy
Uplift is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the platform, by email, or by other appropriate means. The updated policy will be effective when posted unless otherwise stated.
Continued use of Uplift after updates become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
